Tanks a Lot
Tim Sullivan, their All-American, is gone. Still, the U of D High Cub Tankers haven't been doing too badly for themselves.
In the opening meet of the season, they walloped their toughest opponent, De La Salle, by the score of 64-41. Steve Waszak (4B) paced all contestants in the 100-yard butterfly and 200-yard individual medley with times of 58.3 and 2:14 respectively..
On January 12, the Cubs once again showed their superiority as they swam past Catholic Central to a 84-21 victory. After a 67-33 win over Benedictiven, Austin was next to drwon in a surge of Cub power. Austin, a team which has not been defeated in league competition for five years, wa sall wet as the Cubs sailed past them 72-29.
In their next meet against Notre Dame, the Cub Tankers had not slowed down, as they sunk the Irish paddling home to a 74-30 victory.
