Detroit Squad in Mile Swim
A Detroit Parks and Recreation swim team will compete in
the
AAU age-group
mile at Huntington, Ind. Saturday. The event will be held over a
quarter-mile
course in Lake Claire.
Coached by Harry Hauck, of Patton Pool, the Detroit
squad is
entered
as a Parks and Recreation team, but bears its own expense in traveling
to the Indiana meet.
Monty Blashill, Jim McNairy and Ron Boyd will compete in
the
16 and
under age-group mile; John Savinsky and Dennis Manrique in the 14 years
and under, and Carl Boyd will enter the 12 years and under.
