FOURTH-PLACE FINISHER DOUG WEBSTER IS IN PAIN AFTER FOUR-MILE SWIM

AKRON, O.-A 16-year-old Huntington (Ind.) swimmer who finished 20th four years ago, won the national AAU long distance championship at Wyoga Lake yesterday. Ed Glick, a compact 150-pounder, won the four-mile grind in one hour 29 minutes and 57.6 seconds, nearly one minute ahead of George Saldana of Detroit. Mike Kin of Indianapolis was third, Doug Webster, Detroit, fourth, and Pete Adams, Detroit, fifth. Larry Witner of Akron finished seventh to pace Ohio swimmers. Saldana, Webster and Adams teamed to give Detroit the team title with nine Points.
