Coach Harry Hauck, of Patton Pool, has applied for
the national record
set by his 200- yard medley relay swim team in the 15-16 year old
group.
The quartet made up of Rick Skarbo, backstroke; Dennis
Manrique, breaststroke;
Ray Ferguson, butterfly; and Jay Osrowsky, freestyle, swam

the 200-yard race in a record 1:49 in
the Fitzgerald
High pool last Saturday. The Detroit team edged a strong foursome from
Lakewood, O., in the age-group meet.
Manrique set a state mark for the 15-16 year old
boys when he swam the
100 yards breast- stroke in 1:07.9
