| Skarbo, Webster Get Records At Lakewood
LAKEWOOD, Ohio-Rick Skarbo, the young backstroke wizard from
the Patton
Pool team of Detroit, who looks on the 200-yard distance as a sprint,
topped
the national record performances at the annual Lakewood Recreation
Dept.
swimming and diving meet here Apr. 19-21.
Skarbo covered the 15-17 200 back in 2:04.7 and was joined
by teammate
Doug Webster, who got two marks, as the outstanding swimmers at the
three-day
affair. Webster, competing in the 13-14 division hit 2:14.9 for his 200
back effort and 2:15.6 for the 200 fly for his national records.
