Patton Swimmers Try to Sweep AAU Titles

CUYAHOGA FALLS., O., July 13.- With the women's National Junior AAU long-distance team championship tucked away, the Patton Swim Club from Detroit was to go after the same title in the men's division today over the four-mile route.
Yesterday, three Patton swimmers--Mary Ceresko, 14, Carol Danboise, 14, and Linda Foster, 15--placed second, third, and fourth behind Myra Michaels, of the North Virginia Aquatic Club, of Arlington, Va., in the three-mile women's championship.
Patton had nine points in winning the team title.  The Peru, Ind., team was second with 12 and New Kensington, Pa., third with 21. There were 16 starters.
Today Patton Coach Harry Hauck was to send seven boys after individual as well as team honors.
In age group events held on the half-mile course here yesterday, Greg Golin, of Detroit's Northwest Aquatic Club, won the boy's (11-12) half-mile in 11:16 and Dave Pohlonski, of the same club, took the boy's (13-14) mile in 22:59.
