Five records were erased as Patton Aquatic Booster Club won the AAU
swimming and diving championships yesterday at Fitzgerald high school pool
for girls, 16 and under.
Patton piled up 125 1/2 points to far outdistance second place Ann
Arbor (57 1/2). Other finishers were Golden Lions, 45, Northwest Aquatic
24, Maple 13, Womens 10, Battle Creek 9, Osborn 7, Flint 6, Garden City
5.
Records were broken by Patton's 200 yard medley relay team
(2:06.2), Joan Makkonen (Patton) in the 200 yard individual medley
(2:28.5), Susan Stuckey (Golden Lions) in the 100 yard free style (:57.8),
Margaret House (Ann Arbor) in the 50 yard backstroke (:30.9), and the
Patton 200 yard free style relay (1:15.0).
