Up Beach On
Earth Day

Veteran aquatic professional Harry Hauck, 72, and 23 volunteer enviro-divers
went underwater in the public swimming area of Cerro Gordo Public Beach
in Vega Baja Sunday.
They brought ashore all the trash deposited by careless beach patrons.
They collected 360 glass bottles, 108 aluminum cans and about 150 pounds
of other trash. They also picked up 116 pieces of broken glass. The cleanup
was in commemora-tion of Earth Day.
