CUYAHOGA FALLS,O., July 13 - Patton Pool won the men's National Junior
AAA long-distance team championship here today with its three swim- mers
finishing second, third, and ninth over the four-mile course.
Patton finished with 12 points as did the North- west Aquatic Club,
of Detroit, Mich. Patton was awarded the championship because of its swimmers
finished higher. Monty Blashill finished second, John Powser third and
Richard Szuba ninth.
Doug Webster was the first to finish the course in 1 hour 31 minutes.
However, the Patton swimmer was not eligible for the team competition.
In age group swimming here, Carol Danboise, of Patton, won the 1/2 mile
event in the girls 11-12 group and Mary Beth Ceresko of Patton won the
mile swim for girls 13 and 14.
