Breakers: --THE VOTES ARE IN--
Elections without campaigns...fact or fantasy? Fact, when the elections are in the swimming world. Competition is anything but keen for the work responsibilities that accompany aquatic programs. But if the quantity is limited, the quality of candidates is high, for the man (or woman) who accepts such a position must necessarily be devoted. This year's elections are recorded in the books as follows: PATTON ABC President, Mr. Norman Boyd; treasurer, Mr. Powser; ass't treasurer, Mr. Hislop; secretary, Mrs. Cooper; coordinator of transportation, Mrs. Ceresko; meet chairman; Mrs. Roll; AAU committee, Mr. Danboise and Mr. Shefsky; STATE AAU President, Mr. McBride; state chairman and representative to the nat'l body of water polo and senior long distance swims, Harry Hauck.
SURF: SURF is replaced in this issue by a "where are they now" column tracing some of Patton's past swimmers. From time to time in subsequent issues Patton alumni will be featured. But for now Foam- Fare presents a spot check called -- ADRIFT: John Savinsky: in the navy Ray Ferguson: in the navy (U.S.) John Westcott: in the navy (past NAIA 1500 m. Champion) Jim McNairy: in the navy (they ought to name a ship "Patton")
