The past season has not only seen the vast improvement in nat'l rankings (top 5 listings published in Swimming World) by Tigershark natators, but a startling jump in National records as well. As is always the case with such performances, many which are broken never reach the record books because they in turn are broken by swimmers from other areas. Below are indicated both the nat'l records broken and the ones currently held by Tigershark swimmers. There were no others from Michigan listed this year. While you are to be commended, team, for your performances, you must remain strongly critical of yourselves. You must take pride in what you are doing, not what you've done. For you thrive on ideals and faith in their fulfillment, not on pessimism and propaganda; you thrive on eagerness and dedication, not on complacency and laziness. You must continue to weed out the bad attitudes among yourselves, as the body fights germs, in order to remain healthy and to protect your right to strive for perfection.
