"The Revolution in Resolutions"

Those swimmers who survived 1964 have gained immeasurably in the brains department. To prove it here is a list of last year's resolutions--which for one reason or another proved insufficient-- together with this year's REVISED NEW YEAR'S RESOLUTIONS FOR SWIMMERS:

last year's resol.: Practice relay starts. A backstroker and a breastroker go hand in hand.
this year's resol.: A BACKSTROKER AND A BREASTROKER GO HAND IN HAND...BUT NOT ON A POOL DECK!
last year's resol.: Touch my turns (if the turn judge sees me miss).
this year's resol.: DON'T TOUCH MY TURNS, CAUSE THE RULE IS DROPPED!
last year's resol.: work hard.
this year's resol.: WORK HARDER!
last year's resol.: Swim hard.
this year's resol.: SWIM FAST--THERE'S A DIFFERENCE FOR SOME PEOPLE. (donated by Greg "body-English" Golin)
